gniThe campaign Organisation of the Ogun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka has raised the alarm over the rampancy at which the campaign posters of Isiaka are being removed or defaced on the major streets of Abeokuta by the agents of the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

The Gboyega Nasir Isiaka Campaign Organisation (GNICO) in a press release today said it is unfortunate that the agents of Amosun could stoop so low to be removing Isiaka’s posters in the middle of the night and replaced them with that of the outgoing governor.

The Organisation in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity Comrade Ifekayode Akinbode however, noted that no amount of removal of Isiaka’s posters will change the mind of thousands of Ogun indigenes that have made up their minds to vote out the anti-people government of Amosun.

amosunAccording to the statement, “Amosun and his agents have every reason to be afraid of the growing acceptability of the PDP governorship candidate in the state, but removing his posters will not change the heart of many parents who see their children sitting down at home while their counterparts in private schools are enjoying uninterrupted academic session. Removing Isiaka’s posters will not make teachers and civil servants vote for a government that has continued to dehumanize them, just as Isiaka’s posters have nothing to do with a government that has been rejected for subjecting the state into unnecessary debt running into over N250billion”.

GNICO, however appealed to its teeming supporters throughout the state to exercise restraints and not to resort to self help by stopping these agents provocateurs from removing Isiaka’s posters but they should report them to the police for necessary action
