Super Falcons head coach, Edwin Okon and striker, Asisat Oshoala have described as a-must-win the last group clash against USA in Vancouver on Tuesday at the ongoing Fifa Women’s World Cup in Canada.

The team which sit at the bottom of the group with just one point need a convincing win against leaders, USA to stand a chance of progressing and Okon said expectations are high on both sides but he hopes to carry the day.

“Expectations are high on both sides as the two teams want to win. The game is a must-win for us, there’s no negotiation on that.

“We have done our part as coaches, it is now left for the players to believe they can and must win,” said Okon to NFF official website, www.thenff.com.

Oshoala affirmed the tie is a must-win game adding that she is happy to be playing against big names in the US team.

“It’s a must-win game for us against the United States of America. That is why we took a walk to shake it off to see new things, new stuff and everyone is ready now.

“It’s exciting and a pleasure to play against the likes of Abby Wambach and Hope Solo but we hope to carry the day,” said Oshoala.

This is a game Falcons must win as only the best four of third placed teams will qualify for the round of 16.
