Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh has announced his retirement from his first major job as coach in the early hours of Friday, 26 February.
Oliseh who disclosed his decision to resign on Twitter, cited lack of support and unpaid wages as some of the reasons for his decision.
“I feel fortunate, blessed and eternally grateful for having had the honour to play, captain and coach this great nation of ours, Nigeria,” he wrote on Twitter.
Adding that, “Due to contract violations, lack of support, unpaid wages,
benefits to my players, assistant coaches and myself, I resign as Super
Eagles Chief Coach.
