MultiChoice caps basketball season with celebrity game

Leading pay-TV content provider, MultiChoice Nigeria, has announced the hosting of a DStv All-Stars jump-ball scheduled to take place at the University of Lagos’s sports hall on Saturday.

The jump ball event is part of activities to cap the highly successful DStv Premier Basketball League 2012/2013 season, which ended recently, and to appreciate loyal subscribers on its platforms as the company commemorates 20 years of operation in Nigeria.

General Manager, Marketing and Sales, MultiChoice Nigeria, Martin Mabutho, said, “The All-star jump-ball is a competition among the best players from the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences of the DStv Premier Basketball League, which is sponsored by MultiChoice. The event is to celebrate MultiChoice’s 20 years of keeping families together through quality programming and content on its platforms.”

Major attractions include celebrity basketball challenge, entertainment and music. Guests at the event will be thrilled with performances by Olamide, Burna Boy and other top entertainers.

Other highlights of the jump ball are: three-point competition, slam dunk competition, celebrity challenge by stars from Nollywood, television and the music industry as well as product giveaway and prizes to basketball fans.

According to information by Segun Fayose, who is he Head of Communication, MultiChoice Nigeria, admission to the event is free.
