The just concluded convention of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God had million of worshipers in attendance from all walks of lifes around the globe, but little did the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye anticipated that some unscrupulous elements would invade the holy ground.
According to investigations by Yemojanewsng.com, the convention which held between Monday 3rd of August and Sunday 9th of August was an avenue for some sex workers to ply their trade.
We learnt among the worshipers at the Lagos/Ibadan expressway RCCG camp were neatly and moderately dressed ladies who walked around the camp holding their bibles and other Christians books, magazines and leaflets. Unknown to many, these ladies go around in search of men that would need their services in the night.
“They come to you, chat you up with smiles and exchange phone numbers. So, in the night, these ladies start to disturb you with calls and ask if you have accommodation so that they can come and spend the night with you. If you want, they give you bill and you pay,” one of the sources informed yemojanewsng.com.
We further gather that most of the men who got the services of these prostitutes were men who went to the convention to transact businesses.
“Thousands of people were at the convention that didn’t go to worship. There were lots of sales reps of consumer goods that came to sell their products, and they have rented their apartment. That is why the prostitute were able to ply their trade,” the source stated.
Also, yemojanewsng.com was told that some unscrupulous people sneaked in alcohol into the convention ground to make brisk business.
They poured dry gin inside Ragolis bottles and brought the alcohol inside to sell. I even saw beer in the plastic bottles. They were hidden inside bags. That was how they were sold and people were buying. A lot of things happened there”. The source concluded.
