Gboyega Isiaka finally gets PDP guber ticket…Dimeji Bankole, Akinlade settle for Reps

Abiodun-AkinladeDimeji-BankoleAfter several hours of power tussle, negotiations and horse trading, the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Ogun State has finally reached concensus on political positions for its political gladiators.

According to yemojanewng.com findings, it was resolved at a high powered meeting of all the factions of the PDP groups in the state held yesterday December 10, 2014, in the Federal Capital Territory that the governorship ticket of the party be given to Gbenga Nasiru Isiaka (GNI) who is from Ogun West senitorial district of the state.

Our source said it was not an easy task for the leadership of the party to get all factions, especially, the Dimeji Bankole group to accept the choice of GNI, but after much persuation and horse trading, Dimeji Bankole eventually backed down.

We further gathered that instead of losing out completlly. Dimeji Bankole, the imidiate past speaker of the house of representative who is also eyeing the governorship seat was giving the ticket to go back to the house of Representative. Dimeji now hold the PDP ticket to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.

Another Governorship aspirant, Abiodun Akinlade who is currently in the House of Reps and holds the position of Chairman House Committee on Science and Technology was given thr ticket to return to the House of Representative Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency for the fourth time.

Hon Olaiyiwola Taiwo, a former Commissioner for Works during the administrative of former governor Otunba Gbenga Daniel got the ticket to represent the Ogun West Senitorial district while Prince Kashamu Buruji got the PDP ticket for Ogun East. The Ogun central ticket went to the wife of Chief Edwin Clark, Dr Abisola Shodipo-Clark.
