Gbenga Daniel, Dimeji Bankole lead Jonathan’s campaign in Ogun

gbenga daniel 2A former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has said President Goodluck Jonathan, is one of the best performing presidents in the history of the country and should be re-elected on February 14.

He said this while inaugurating the state’s President Goodluck Jonathan/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation Advisory Committee at the party secretariat, Onikolobo, Abeokuta.

The 22-member committee was headed by Segun Seriki, and included a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, a former Speaker Ogun State House of Assembly, Titi Oseni, and Senator Jubril Martins-Kuye.

Daniel said Jonathan had rejuvenated the railway system and carried out extensive road construction across the country.

dimeji bankyHe said, “The Peoples Democratic Party has become one in this state. We must all vote for President Goodluck Jonathan. He is one of the best performing presidents in the history of this country.

“When we were young and we were to go on excursions, we travelled by train from Idogo, passing through Ijoko, Agege. The rail system suddenly went into a coma. It was President Jonathan that revived it.

“On road construction, we must give it to Jonathan. We can all see the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and the Sagamu-Benin-Ore Road. What about the renovation and construction of airports? He also established higher institutions in the country.”

Daniel, who’s the adviser-general to the committee urged the members and party supporters, to work for the re-election of Jonathan.

He also called on the residents to vote out the All Progressives Congress-led state government which he said had inflicted “suffering and hardship on you for the past three and half years.”

Seriki, on his part, promised that the committee would work assiduously for the re-election of Jonathan and the success of other candidates at the polls.
