Against the backdrop of his reluctance to comment on the activities of Boko Haram, a former Aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has described ministerial nominee, Adebayo Shittu, as a coward or a closet sympathizer of the sect.
Shittu, a Senior Advocate had said during his screening at the senate on Tuesday that he will not like to comment much on Boko Haram and their activities because he still has a family to cater for.
According to him, since the sect members have in time past killed anyone who spoke openly against them, there was need for him to be careful.
Femi Fani Kayode took to his Facebook page to slam Shittu, calling him a coward or a Boko Haram sympathiser.
The former presidential spokesman wrote, “I won’t comment on Boko Haram, I still have a family to take care of”- Honorable Minister- designate Alhaji Bayo Shittu. Bayo Shittu is either a coward or a closet Boko Haram sympathiser. Shame on him.”
