Labour PartyThe immediate past Chairman of Abeokuta South Local Government under the administration of ex governor Gbenga Daniel, Prince Yanju Lipede has thrown his hat into the political ring for the 2015 governorship race in Ogun state.
Yemojanewsng.com can authoritatively reveal that the Egba Prince, who is the son of late Alake of  Egbaland, Oba Oyebade Lipede, has pitched his tent with the Labour Party as a platform to prosecute his project.
According to information at our disposal, Yanju Lipede, a very likeable and friendly politician cum businessman who is the Managing Director of Solution Media and Infotech had been under pressure from friends and politicians for a while to join the 2015 number race. We learnt Prince Lipede is not desperate for the contest but believes he has the necessary tools, financially and intellectually to rescue Ogun state from the maladministration of current government of governor Ibikunle Amosun.
On Monday, 14th April, 2014, Prince Lipede distributed 40 bags of rice (small sizes) each to all the 236 wards of Ogun state through the state secretariat of the Labour Party to party members for easter celebrations.
”We have received the bags of rice. This is the first time a politician is doing such a thing in Ogun state. Even, the current APC government of Amosun can’t afford such humanitarian gesture. We will continue to pray for Prince Yanju Lipede, because there is so much poverty in the state now and many families are benefiting from his large heart,” a excited politician in Ogun state told us yesterday.
Meanwhile, we gathered that the entrance of the blue blood into the Ogun number race is already causing ripples as most of the notable guber aspirants in the Labour party are now developing cold fleets.
