In a normal circumstance, the electoral victory of a family member in a keenly contested general election is celebrated in frenzy and popping of Champagne by the family members.
But the reverse in the case in the family of senator elect, Emmanuel Nnamndi (Andy) Uba whose family is now in turmoil for winning the just concluded 2015 senatorial election to represent Anambra South Senatorial district in the upper legislative house.
According to yemojanewsng.com, the war in the popular Uba family occasioned by the victory of Andy Uba has scattered the family. Brothers have now drawn daggers expecting the draw the first blood from the other.
The battle, we learnt is between senator Andy Uba and his mistress turned second wife, Faith vadelago one side, and Emmanuel Uba, Chris Uba and other family member on the other side.
Emmanuel Uba is the eldest of the three Uba brothers while Chris is the youngest.
A family member who volunteered information to us explained that things totally went awry in the Uba family the day Faith Vadelago entered Andy Uba’s life, getting pregnant for him bearing him a child and forcing him to marry her as his second wife and relegating Andy’s first wife, Obiageli and their four children to the background. It is said that it seems Faith Valedego who is a pastor of an Abuja Church has a ‘remote’ which she use to control Andy Uba.
“You see, before the party primaries that threw up Andy Uba as the PDP Candidate, Chris Uba had shown interest in contesting for the same Anambra South Senatorial Seat. It is a common knowledge that Chris Uba is the godfather of Anambra PDP. First, he installed their eldest brother, Senator Ugochukwu Uba as the senator for Anambra south who was in the senate between 2003-2007, later Chris also made same his brother Andy become governor of the state in 2007, but was removed by the court which paved way for Peter Obi of APGA to take over the seat as governor while Andy in 2011 went to the senate”. Our source divulged.
Yemojanwsng.com learnt that in the build up to the 2015 general elections, the Uba family unanimously agreed that Andy Uba should vacate the senate seat for his younger brother, Chris Uba, while Andy give the governorship seat another trial. Andy reportedly agreed, but after losing out at the Anambra governorship primaries, he made a U-turn and insisted he would go for the senate.
“Very few people knew that it was Andy’s second wife that was controlling his head. It was Faith valedego that prevailed on him to jettison the agreement he made with his brothers and family members. Andy practically turned his back against his family and that is why they are not happy with his recent electoral victory”, the source added.
Another source inform us that the crisis was so deep rooted in the Uba family in Uga Aguata local government area of Anambra that it has become a subject of discussion in the whole community.
The latest information reaching us now is that the two Uba brothers (Ugochukwu and Chris) have pitched their tent with the candidate of APGA, Ernest Ndukwe who has decided to challenge Andy’s purported victory at the election petition tribunal.
“Ernest Ndukwe came second in the result declared by INEC but he rejected it, claiming it was rigged in favor of Andy Uba. He is going to the tribunal to claim his mandate and he has the support of Chris Uba and Ugochukwu Uba. It is going to be a battle to finish”. The family  source predicted.

Meanwhile, same friends of Andy Uba told our reporter that he said he was going to use the power of money on the judiciary to retain his seat. All efforts to speak with senator Andy Uba were abortive as he refused to pick our calls.
