E-voters Card: Obanikoro Urges Citizens To Participate In Registration

Following the commencement of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) nationwide by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has urged citizenry especially eligible residents who have attained the voting age to go online in masses and register for the onward collection of their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).

The former Minister, Maintained that voting during elections is not only a civic responsibility on the part of every citizen but also a means through which citizens lay their stakes and participate in governance at all levels.

Also, he commended INEC for easing the registration process through the opening of a portal, hence charged young men and women who are just attaining the age of 18 and other affected persons to visit the INEC’s registration portal on https://cvr.inecnigeria.org for new voter registration, review of voter information, transfers of polling unit, update of information, collection of PVC and replacement of lost or damaged PVC.

In Addition, the progressive chieftain butressed that the PVC remains an access to their voting right and power to determine their future, thereby determining who will govern them in their best interests in the forthcoming 2023 general elections and beyond; adding that it equally serves other multiple purposes.

It would be recalled that INEC recently launched a continuous voter registration portal which allows eligible voters to pre-register, update information and find registration centers.
