The wife of President Mohammadu Buhari, Hajia Aisha Buhari has taken drastic steps conclude the ‘inconclusive’ marriage of her beloved daughter, Zahra Buhari to Ahmed Indimi, the son of billionaire oil magnate, Mohammed Indimi.
The marriage ceremony which was expected to hold between November 30 and December 4 2016 had generated media buzz and amplified when the groom presented 30 Louis Vuitton leather bags worth over N47 Million to Zahra and posted it on social media.
Aside the ostentatious display of luxury and wealth by the Indimi family, the arrogance of the grooms sisters which is second to none caused a physical altercation between one of the sisters, Yataka Indimi and security officials at the presidential villa after she bluntly refused to leave her phones with security men.
The scuffle reportedly claimed a victim in the person of the Nasarawa first lady, Mrs Tanko Almakura who intervened. The Nasarawa first lady was reportedly shoved aside during the melee, falling down and injuring her legs in the process.
Presidential sources claimed President Buhari got infuriated at the behaviours of the Indimis and angrily postponed the marriage indefinitely. But Zahra’s mother Aisha Buhari was not happy with her husband’s decision but kept quiet.
Aisha however acted on the advice of American female activist, Maya Angelou that ‘you may encounter defeats, but you must not be defeated’. The wife of the president won’t be defeated in this and has mapped out a ‘plan B’ with the connivance of Mrs Fatima Indimi, mother of Ahmed Indimi.
First Weekly magazine exclusively gathered that a new date has been fixed for the Zahra/Ahmed marriage and its going to hold on Friday, 16th of December 2016. What has even stupefied and astound those who are privy to the new arrangement of Aisha Buhari is that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will be giving out Zahra’s hand in marriage to Ahmed Indimi.
According to privileged information available to this magazine, the powerful nephew of President Buhari, Maman Daura is kicking against the new arrangements and wants to thwart everything on ground, but Aisha has been able to neutralize him.
“The wedding will take place on the 16th of December. It was kept a secret so that it won’t attract any media attention. But I must confess that the wedding have put a crack in the Buhari family. You see, the typical arrangement is for Buhari’s nephew Maman Daura to give out his children. But Atiku has given his words to help Aisha give out Zahra to Ahmed Indimi.
