 Our attention are, continually, being drawn to, as regards the above subject matter. In the said letter,which Alade Taiwo Shotę denigrated and casted aspersions on the royal INSTITUTION of the OLISA of Ijębu-Ode, whose colonial governmental recognition dated back more than a century ago – through Act of Ordinance of 1904 among others!

 And by extention, through the Western Region Native Law of 1957,and subsequently by Ogun State Chiefs law – 1980. And by virtue of precedence, NO OLISA OF ANY IJĘBU IS EVER LISTED AMONGST THE RECOGNISED CHIEFTAINCY, OTHER THAN OLISA OF IJĘBU-ODE IN THE CHIEFS LAW OF OGUN STATE AS AT1980!

Having thought it wise not to engage Alade Taiwo Shotę in his uninformed submission about OLISA CHIEFTAINCY, well meaning people both at home and in the diaspora have been persistent, over the years, on the need for us, at Ogu’ja Olu-Isa(OLISA)Royal Dynasty of Ijębu-Ode, to respond accordingly to such untowardness from a hired PULL HIM DOWN SYNDROME HAWKER(S) LIKE ALADE TAIWO SHOTĘ and a host of others. That may have been commissioned by their paymaster, in his desperate bid to drive home his unfounded imperious claims and to further entrench falsehoods into our genuine history as a people in Ijębu-Ode!

We also felt that, if only for record purposes and public knowledge, it is pertinent for us to set records straight, vis-a-viz the otherwise of unfounded outbursts from a privileged bootlicker in the person of the author of the said letter, that was written and signed on sheet of plain sheet of paper without a visible and traceable address of office!

It is not an exaggerated claim but rather of general public acknowledgement of ROYALTY that such have been of inherited heritage by the seven principal lineages of the Ogu’ja Olu-Isa(OLISA)Royal Dynasty. As the genuine historical links and assertions lend credence to such genuine CLAIMS, being the monarchical authority over Ijębu-Ode!

It, therefore, tantamount,to naivety, misguided orientation and submission of history from anyone including Alade Taiwo Shotę, who has been, of no doubt, bereft of his family historical existence! As the maxim of our revered ancestors posit : bi a ba ka Ęrú inu Ęrú a ba ję……..and by extension rendering unjust and unverified position of history about the royal institution – OLISA IJĘBU-ODE that predated his ancestors in Ijębu country!

It is not just an aberration and sacrilege to the exalted institution of OLISASHIP, such is also of grave insults of unpardonable damages that he – Alade Taiwo Shotę had committed and would dutifully make atonement for in due course! As his ANCESTORS dare not cross the ROYAL AUTHORITY OF OLISA IJĘBU-ODE! NOT TO TALK OF HIS PERSON WHO HAVE BEEN TOO INFINITESTIMAL TO CHALLENGE OUR ROYAL HERITAGE CLAIMS, THAT HAVE BEEN NO DOUBT, THE SECOND IN COMMAND TO THE POSITION OF AWUJALĘ OF IJĘBU LAND!

We would also like to admonish him to go back home and seek for records of history on how his uncle – late Chief M A Shotę (Balogun of Ijębu-Ode)held the institution of OLISASHIP in higher esteem whilst he was alive. As he never denigrated or casted aspersions on our heritage. Alade Taiwo Shotę utterances couldn’t have been none the less that of the proverbial sayings: a gb’eni fun won bu aja oni kęşę…..pelu omo osan tii ko kondo ba iya ę.

The author of the said letter would be made answerable to some questions, that boils down to the rites of installation of an OLISA OF IJĘBU-ODE, in the course of genuine history. If truly he’s a thorough bred of history of Ijębu-Ode.

Those questions, among others, shall be put to him in the public glare, as soon as he’s ready to face an open debate/questions and answers kind of program on a public TV program he may choose to appear. He may otherwise choose to seek judicial interpretation/ redress at the highest court in the land, as we are historically equipped to defend our royal claims.

To further exposed his high level of ignorance about the genuine history of our land, his personal claim of being a ‘High Chief’ an appellation of address his uncle never used have been a ruse after all! As his title as Otun Balogun is never known to our history until 1985 and as well not listed in the recognised hierarchy of Ijębu-Ode Chieftains known to genuine history! His title have been that of mere ‘decorated personaé’ that only promotion could make him a minor Chief and as such the least recognised Chief of the town – Balogun Ijębu-Ode.

We, at the Ogu’ja Olu-Isa(OLISA)Royal Dynasty, admonish journalists to carry out thorough investigation before going public with unfounded and baseless claims from some priviledged mindsets who have been commissioned to spread lies and distortions about genuine historical links and assertions of our ancestry, hence, the need for this REJOINDER.
