Ondo Former Information Commissioner, Akinmade bags award, as Idanre Monarch celebrates 45th Coronation

The hilly town of Idanre in Ondo State came alive on Saturday, 11th of December, 2021, when a former Commissioner for Information in the State, Kayode Akinmade and others were honoured for their contributions to the development of the town.

Akinmade, a media guru cum strategist, was recognised for his outstanding performance.

The event was attended by indigenes of the town from far and near, as the rich culture of the people was on display.

It was a memorable day, as the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Frederick Aroloye marked forty-five years on the throne.

Many indigenes of the town described his forty-five-year reign as memorable and eventful.

The Chairman of the coronation anniversary, Anthony Omolola, said his reign has brought rapid development to Idanre.

According to him, Idanre has witnessed tremendous development since he became the king.

He said, “we are proud to associate ourselves with him. His reign has been prosperous and eventful. He is a respected traditional ruler, who loves his people.

“When he ascended the throne, we had only two schools, today we have more and more schools”
