The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oshimili South Local Government Area, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, has commended the enviable performance of Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, in the past two years and called for continue support and encouragement to enable the governor to do more.
The Chairman made the commendation while speaking to newsmen on the second-year anniversary of Senator Okowa and Democracy Day celebration in Asaba.
He explained that Deltans were happy because the governor has been able to site projects in all the 25 local government areas of the state, stressing that the governor was still determined to do more for the people.
According to him, governance in Delta State in the past two years had been focused and rewarding to all the people and communities, considering the level of infrastructural development in the nooks and crannies of the4 state.
The Chairman pointed out that Senator Okowa’s administration had recorded impressive performance in areas of road construction and rehabilitation, building of health centers and schools, appointment of young people into government and empowerment of the women and youths through skills acquisition.
Ogbueshi Okonji, who is also the Chairman of Delta North Community Youth Association, Oshimili South local government chapter, praised Senator Okowa for reducing youth restiveness through the engagement of youths in skills acquisition, promotion of education and sports in the state.
While expressing the hope that the coming years will bring better things for the people of the state, Ogbueshi Okonji enjoined Deltans to sustain their support to the governor and pray for his success in providing prosperity for all Deltans
