Ogun: NNPP Condemns Online Registration For Amotekun Enlistment Corps

The chairman of  New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP ) Oginni Olaposi has condemned and described the ideas of job portal registration for the enlistment of AMOTEKUN CORPS as  too elitist.
Oginni stated this during a press conference in Abeokuta on Tuesday he explained, that the state needed a  security architecture that was  of 100 per cent  local contents, saying that was what the state needed now  to combat the deadly acts of criminality in the state.
” We hereby recommend that those to be enlisted must have passed through the nomination of IPAC, religious organisations,  traditionalists, CDA and CDC while two sureties from the aforementioned bodies must affirmed the candidature of the enlisted.
“Online registration may eventually lead to Ogun state government unknowingly registering Fulani killers and Boko Haram members!
“We are calling on all well meaning Ogun State citizens to join hands with the government in our collective efforts to secure the state from banditry.
The NNPP chairman hinted that the  party was majorly concerned about the high levels of insecurities in the state.
We’re deeply worried that the governor looked unperturbed about these killings most especially the recent Fulani killings of our people in Ogun west senatorial district.
” It is highly surprising that the government of Ogun state under the leadership of  Abiodun is exhibiting a lukewarm attitude towards a life threatening issues of a sophisticated arms carrying Fulani herders who are daily terrorising innocent people of Yewa land of the state .
“It is very disturbing that in the absence of any help or intervention of Ogun state government, our people have resulted into self help to defend themselves.
“Our concern as a major stakeholder in Ogun state political space is that the lackadaisical attitude of governor Abiodun and his aides may lead to the state of anarchy.
“We hereby call on Gov. Abiodun to put down his toga of lukewarmness and put on the garment of courage by confronting these multiple assaults on Ogun state people all head long,” he said.
However, he stated that the party had issued a 21-day ultimatum to Gov. Abiodun to constitute Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC),  saying failure of which the party would proceed on legal battle
