Ogun Federal Lawmaker, Jimoh Ojugbele Drags K1 To Perform @ Olota’s Coronation Ceremony

All is set for the official coronation and presentation of staff of office by the governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun to the newly crowned Olota Of Ota, Oba Abdulkabir Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege Ekun II) on the 26th of April 2018, as the ancient town of Ota is in festive mood.

While different social groups, clubs, associations and families have sent invites to friends and well- wishers across the country and abroad, the Olota Installation Committee headed by Senator Akin Odunsi is putting finishing touches to the activities leading to the grand event expected to hold at the expansive Ansar’udeen Teachers Training premises.

However, what would have been a snag to the successful coronation ceremony was the choice of the musician that will entertain the thousands of guests at the event.

“Some members of the planning committee suggested Saheed Osupa while others voted for either Wasiu Alabi Pasuma or Sefiu Alao. They could not reach agreement and they put the decision on the musician on hold”. A source close to the planning committee offered.

We learnt that news later filtered to a member of the House of Representatives, who is an Ota indigene, Hon Jimoh Ojugbele about the dilemma of choosing a befitting musician for the coronation ceremony of the respected in Awori land

“When Hon Ojugbele heard, he just put a call to the King of Fuji music, Wsiu Ayinde Marshal to shelve all his previous appointments for the Olota coronation ceremony. K1 initially said he would not be able to make it, but Hon Ojugbele would not entertain any excuse from the acclaimed fuji icon”. The source added.

K1 De Ultimate

It was revealed that K1 eventually agreed to be on the band stand while the federal lawmaker who represents Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives picked all the bills presented by the fuji lord.

Hon Ojugbele, as we gathered later sent words to the coronation committee members that he had resolved the issue of musician, and that K1 De Ultimate will be on band stand.

“Everybody was happy, including the new king. So, we are all expecting the kingb of fuji music to come and entertain our new king in Ota”. The source said.

Meanwhile, we learnt all the fist class monarchs in Yoruba land, especially the Ooni of Ife, Alaafin of Oyo, Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Akiolu of Lagos and others are expected to grace the coronation ceremony.
