Nigeria’s reggae super star, Ras Kimono has made his intention to support President Goodluck Jonathan known.

The rumba style exponent in a chat with yemojanewsng at Mount Ned Nwoko International Tourist Center in Delta State recently told our reporters that it will be good for the people of Nigeria to allow President Jonathan complete his transformation agenda.
Kimono as he’s fondly address by his fans explained that the country have been destroyed beyond immediate and short time repair by past leaders. He pointed out that ‘’there is no miracle anybody can do to put the country back on track in a short while’’.
Ras Kimono went further by stating that, ‘’barely four years ago, the people of Nigeria agitated for Jonathan. Now the same people are calling for his removal. This country has been destroyed for many years. Some of those who destroyed the country are still alive, they know what they did. We have all seen how far the president has gone to rebuild our country in all spheres of life, so let us give him more time to give us more dividends of democracy.
Four years is not enough for a destroyed country like Nigeria, so, I support he should be given another term to correct the state he met Nigeria. There is no miracle anybody can do to put the country back on track in a short while’’.
The reggae crooner also chided former president Olusegun Obasanjo on his performance as the president of Nigeria for eight years. In his words, “If Obasanjo had probably done a lot to re-build this nation in his 8 year reign, after several years of destruction by the military, President Jonathan by now would have been doing more of providing our basic needs and not starting afresh as we can all see.
“We expected Obasanjo to do much, yet he didn’t do the right thing for the masses. He spend eight years and even wanted four more years, yet nobody asked for change then’’.  Kimono stated.
Ras Kimono is one of Africa’s greatest reggae musicians, he is noted for activism through his songs.
