Islamic Singer, Waheed Ariyo Is Dead
The Islamic genre of the Nigerian music industry has been thrown into grief with the reported death of one of the veterans in the genre, Alhaji Waheed Ariyo.
Thegazellenews.com learnt this morning that Alhaji Ariyo died early Friday, 2nd May, 2014 in his home in Lagos.
Although there has not been official confirmation of the cause of his death, some relatives told this medium that the veteran Islamic choral singer might have died of heart attack.
We learnt that the veteran singer was hale hearty until he started complaining of some chest pains in the middle of the night. He was reported to have given up the ghost few minutes later.
The Iwo, Osun State born singer was reported to have been survived by four wives and many children.
