Recall that around the end of May 2017, thugs sponsored by Prince Chukwunonso Nwoko, one of the sons of late Obi Albert Nwoko and a claimant to the revered throne of Idumuje Ugboko and his supporters attacked elders, chiefs and indigenes of the town, including old women and children who are not supporting his claim to the throne of Idumuje Ugboko. They destroyed over 20 houses, cars, motorcycles and other properties of these people they perceive as opponents of Chukwunonso’s ambition to be Obi.

They also abducted the two highest ranking chiefs in the community – Odogwu and Iyase – who incidentally are very elderly men, and tortured them mercilessly in the presence of Princes Chukwunonso and Uwadiegwu Nwoko at the palace. They are both still very traumatised by this ordeal and the Iyase, Chief Ogwu, still nurses a limp from a broken leg. And as if to crown their evil efforts, Cyprain, an innocent young man pursuing his legitimate business was shot and killed by Prince Chukwunonso ‘s thugs right in front of Idumuje Ugboko Palace because he was mistaken as an opponent of Prince Chukwunonso’s ambition to be Obi at all cost.

Recall also that Prince Chukwunonso was already facing investigations and criminal charges regarding the forgery or obtaining under undue influence or false pretence, of Obi Albert’s signature, concealment of rape, assault, destruction and stealing of properties belonging to late Obi Albert’s widows who are not supporting his ambition to succeed his father.

All these criminal matters were duly logged with the police by the victims of these crimes. Arrests were made and cases charged to court.
However, Prince Chukwunonso and his cohorts, in their usual arrogant and lawless manner had thought that they could continuously evade justice by employing delays, more forgeries and other shenanigans to frustrate the wheel of justice. But on the 29th of June, the magistrate handling the criminal cases lost his final scrap of patience with Prince Chukwunonso and his cohorts and ordered their immediate arrest and presentation before his Worship on the 27th of July at Asaba.

The issuance of the bench warrant for the arrest of Prince Chukwunonso was triggered by his refusal to humble himself, climb down from the pedestal of a god he had arrogated to himself and appear before real judicial authorities (not presumed traditional dictatorship as he sees himself even as a pretender to Idumuje Ugboko throne) and answer to serious criminal matters.
But the immediate trigger of this bench warrant was the discovery by the authorities that Princes Chukwunonso and Mbanefo Nwoko, their advisers and supporters, while standing trial for forgery, had forged another document.
In documents sighted by this writer, Prince Chukwunonso presented a letter purportedly from the Chief Medical Director of General Hospital Owa Oyibo (far away Owa Oyibo in Ika North East LGA) claiming that he was treated for a plethora of conditions on the date he was supposed to appear in court to answer to criminal charges. But when the police approached the hospital to verify the letter, the management of the hospital denied knowledge of the letter and insisted the signature was forged (is Prince Chukwunonso proving himself a desperate and serial forger?).
Piqued by this report the magistrate, F. I. Dike, issued a bench (arrest) warrant on 29/6/2017 against Prince Chukwunonso and his surety.
In the arrest warrant the magistrate orders any police officer who sights him to arrest Prince Chukwunonso and drag him before him at Chief Magistrate Court 3 Asaba on the 27th of July, 2017.

Over to you, Nigeria Police.
