A gubernatorial hopeful in Osun State, under the banner of Democratic People Party, Prince Ayodeji Eniola Oni, has said that he would make Osun State an investors haven if elected the state Governor in the election coming up in September, 2018.
This was stated in the press release personally signed by the aspirant, while enjoining the people of Osun State to embrace new breed politicians like him under a fresh party like DPP, which has done a lot of underground spade works about how to move the state forward economically, socially and technologically.
Prince Ayodeji Eniola Oni, who is an indigene of Ede and a close ally of some key politicians in Osun State, affirmed that he was more than ready to make Osun an Eldorado, through his wide ranging connections with chambers of commerce in Nigeria and Cote D’voire, where he has proved himself as a force to be reckoned with.
Osun State, according to Prince Eniola Oni, requires the selfless service of people with good heart, stating further, that he has learnt a lot from Late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, under whom he served political tutelage. He said, there are many like minds like him with zeal, commitment and patriotism to take Osun to the next level. Democratic People Party (DPP), Ayodeji Eniola Oni asserted, is a radical departure from other party, as its hallmark is grassroot penetration with the peasants as their target.
Prince Ayodeji Eniola Oni intimated that he will pursue agrarian revolution to make the people of Osun State self reliant and self sufficient in food production. It is also the conviction of Prince Ayodeji Oni, that there are enough natural resources in Osun State, waiting to be tapped, which he said would be looked into and such resources used to raise the internal revenue of the state, in addition to establishment of cottage industries to stop rural-urban drift by young school leavers, thereby minimizing the urge for white collar jobs.
Ayodeji Oni, a theologian and management consultant, said his wealth of experience and fear of God will come in handy in the performance of his exalted responsibilities if elected. He promised an all participatory and home grown government that will boost the economy of Osun State.
