The Aare Atunluse of Aworiland and Chairman of Mapcotec Nigeria Limited, Aare (Surveyor) Dr. Segun Osifeso, has described the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Aare Gani Adams, as a colossus whose leadership role in the promotion of Yoruba culture and tradition has made monumental impacts on the Yoruba society.

Dr. Osifeso, who made this remark on Sunday at a cultural banquet and grand reception in honour of Aare Gani Adams at Nana Hotel, Ota, Ogun State, noted that the contributions of the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland to the development of Yorubaland in particular and meritorious service to mankind in general would continue to be a reference point and a rich resource in any national discourse.

He expressed joy in the contributions of Aare Adams to the development of Yoruba culture and tradition, stressing that the Aare Onakakanfo was indeed a visionary and charismatic leader whose exemplary leadership style was worthy of emulation.

The Aare Atunluse of Aworiland portrayed Aare Adams as a cultural ambassador of high standing whose passion and dedication to the advancement of Yoruba culture and tradition was undiluted.

Surveyor Osifeso stressed that the Aare Onakakanfo had demonstrated that he was a stickler for the growth and development of African culture and tradition in general and would want other Yoruba traditional leaders to imbibe these virtues, which had made the Aare Onakakanfo a quintessential Yoruba leader and first among equals.

“Over the years, this inimitable Yoruba leader has clearly shown that he is not just a foremost cultural ambassador whose first love is the promotion of Yoruba culture and tradition, but that he is also a mentor who imparts values, virtues and character which are key components of leadership and it is a custodian of Yoruba culture and tradition of Aare Adams’ calibre that we sorely desire in our society”, Dr. Osifeso said.

The Mapcotec boss noted that he was proud to identify with Aare Gani Adams’ landmark achievements, stressing that the Yoruba race would remain grateful to him for his sacrifices for the unity and stability of the region in particular and Nigeria in general.
